... el-cheapo part deux?
hehehe... i am renting a place together with some friends, so, i try not to buy expensive home appliances since i will not be the only one using it... and lagi murah lagi senang nak minta yg lain bayar skali.... since its cheap...!
i bought a cheapo LG top loading semi-autimatic 8kg washing machine. the thing is huge!!! and it only errr... rm 520 only!
inclusive of delivery!
i got it from harvey norman @ ikano power centre. i kinda like this new shopping complex. the parking is cheap! only RM1 for 3 hours?! subsequent hour is 50sen! or free first 3 hours if u spend more that rm10 in IKEA.
fatbastard suggest trying the hot dog in IKEA cafe, near the checkout cashier. i went there for a bite thre after buy the washing machine, and after a pit stop in ACE hardware to buy some hose adaptor, tap washer, cloth line, and some other hardware stuffs. let me tell u of the hot dog or sausage. it is how a boiled sausage shold taste like. unlike the typical malaysia hot dog, FRIED till crispy, oily, brittle and bone dry, the ikea sausage is tender inside, juicy, soft, with an almost 'pop-in-your-mouth' effect since the outer sausage casing is pretty elactic and tight!!
and it is taken with a good quality ketchup... let me first talk about ketchup... a kecthup should ;
1. has a thick consistency
2. be dark red in colour
3. kinda tangy sour taste never sweet!
some ketchup made in malaysia are just wrong.... they are made with too little tomatoes and too much SUGAR and water!!???
the ketchup in IKEA is great.... but the best thing is yet to come.
fatbastard mentioned of the mustard, though i am not too crazy of mustard, it is however needed to spicy up the sausage a little... mustard is an aquired taste i suppose...
for me the highlight of the whole sausage experience is the 'green thing' as refered by fatbastard. which actually is sweet relish. i absolutely love this sweet pickled relish!!! it is quiet expensive here, and not too many people can appreciate it!
a typical hot dog should ;
1. boiled sausage
2. steamed bun
3. eaten with mustard, relish, and ketcheup
4. if u like some chopped onion....
the IKEA sausage is how HOT DOGs should be... or as i remembered it to be when i was abroad...
and one more thing... the sausage and a glass of soft drink will cost u only RM3.50
the price is incredibly wallet friendly! go give it a try.....
now i'm left with one more thing to try in IKEA is their salmon... which is under RM10... this is terribly cheap! i don't understand why other restaurants would charge some much more and get away with it!!???
