Happy 2006?

Its that time of the year again. The time when I truely realised that none of my 2005 new year resolution has been achieved. I cannot feel more of a failure than at this time of the year. Yet without miss year after year, I keep on doing this new year's resolution without ever truely achieving them. Sigh...

Some would feel its a time to rejoice. I do too, but apart of me keep on reminding myself of the forgotten 2005 resolutions! Ok no point of beating myself over it now? There is absolutely no way I could do them now. Hence, let bygones be bygones...

I'll just move on by turning yet another fresh page and chart myself accordingly from now. Still I am not the type that do 'Que Sera Sera'?! I like to plan, chart and do projection on every step of the way. Not gonna leave any of it to chance, though I do understand and accept fate.

Looking back to 2005, all is not lost. There are still some good achievements here and there.

1. bought a new car
2. bought some major appliances and other items for the new apartment
3. got myself a gym membership (need to seriously improve on attendance though!)
4. Seri Maya's progress looks fine, its right on track
Urgh.. all earthly possesions!
Work-wise, a terrible year! No bonus! Not a penny! I am still struggling with this financial catastrophe! Sigh... and I've also been told that next year it will still be the same story... At least I can prepare myself the next time around!

Relationship-wise, its a constant learning experience for me. The ups and downs of it. Both of us needs to give more time to each other. Understanding, compassion and communication are keys to a great relationship. Still more work to be done in this department.

Dear 2005, you had been an OK year to me. Thank you for the good times, I truely cheerish and enjoyed every moment of it. For the bad times, I will just have learn from it, and make sure that I'd hit the ground running next time around.

Dear 2006, I greet you with much joy, happiness and will be optimistic on what the future holds...

Happy
New Year!!!

Nikki M'sian Idol?

Hmmm... to me if by any chance Mariah Carey could ever sing in Malay this would just be it! Hehehe.. She sounds fantastic! Not only that, the whole album has quite a wide range of songs genres, some rock-ish, some snappy R'n'B, some slow adult comtemporary songs albeit all songs except one is written by AudiMok. The one exception is written by Hazami which is 'Pinta'. I have listened to the whole album twice and I have yet to pin-point 1 song that I don't quite like... everything is superb! Even the quality of the recording and arrangement is top notch.

A definite must have for 2005! Worth every penny of the RM29.90 spent! It also comes with a bonus CD which contains remix version of her songs.

Verdict = 4.5 / 5 (Orgasmic! Hehehe...)

*updated : i don't quite like track 11 it sounds like tagalog, i just do not understand anything! :-)

My Havanna's Progress?

photo are all taken by my crappy nokia phone on the 3rd Dicember 2005

Yippy it seems that the Havanna block has its outer structure completed all 32 floors already! But the giant cranes are still up there. Maybe there is still some finishing work left on the rooftop. I can't see that high, hence, don't have a clue! And on top of that, units on level 3 till 12 (i think) have already been installed with windows!!! Yes, yes, yeaaaah!!! My unit is on level 3 so I guess it is now protected from the weather! Hehehe... hope they shut my windows properly! Don't want any bugs to nest inside my unit now do we?

Note that Savanna is already half way from the top!!! That is super duper quick!

u can see the cranes anchored to the side of the builiding here

They have also started to paint a part of the Havanna. I think they just want to get a feel of the colour scheme. Pretty eh?! They have only started painting from level 4 till 6... I hope they will complete it on schedule, Oct 2006. Tan & Tan has a great reputation, so I think that they will manage to stick to the plan. No worries... :-)

Bathroom continued?

I always wanted to buy these lit up mirror for the bathroom. But most cost around RM1000 a piece! Sigh.. Instead I bought the IKEA mirror bathroom cabinet. Its kinda cheap RM149 each but comes without any light source. I need to some how fix some soft lighting on the sides of the cabinets to make it perfect! hehehe... I think this is not too difficult to do. And have to somehow fix in a small bulb inside the cabinets as well.

Colour schemes : Blue and green are 2 good accent colours to be used in a bathroom. Both are cool calming colours. It should always be monochromaticly... never use clashing colour ie hot and cool colours. Avoid using too much dark shades of the colour in a bathroom. It will make it look cluttered, small and dirty. Base colour should always be white or shades of pale beige. This will give it the clean look.

My design cues for the bathroom is modern/contemporary. I think I will use some mosaic tiles in the shower area. Maybe blue for the 2nd bathroom and green for the 1st bathroom. Avoid using tiles with patterns, it will look messy. Most people now do use mosaic silver cloloured tiles, for a more modern look, with a steel/aluminium sink for a more industrial look.

If you would want to free up more space in your bathroom to make it seemed bigger, mount everything on the wall. Make sure nothing touches the floor! Use a free standing wall mounted sink (above pic). Plus use the wall mounted WC (below pic). It will be very easy to clean the floor! Hide every single piping and if possible the flush tank in the wall.

My 1st bathroom has an open plan layout, and luckily it has a glass shower screen by default. Which is great to 'open up' the bathroom which I feel is kinda tiny. The timber strip flooring (above pic) is a no-no for our Malaysian usage plus the humid weather do not help! One thing I cannot stand is a wet toilet/WC floor. I absolutely hate that! The floor has to be dry, dry, dry... this is not a public toilet!

An elastic Waja?

did someone 'photoshoped' a pic of a Waja here?

Want to know what happens when a normal sedan is stretched like pulling a rubberband..? Hmm.. no rocket science here, you'll get a Proton Chancellor!

its a Waja from the front...

...also Waja from behind!

No idea of anyone in the right mind would actually buy this elongated Proton Waja. Especially when its RM136,000 each! That's approximately the price of 2 Waja!

the technical spec of the vehicle
In the technical spec sheet,
Powertrain = Perdana V6 2.o engine (an old Mitsubishi engine)
Peformance = same as Perdana V6 with higher fuel consumption!
Chassis = same as Waja
Dimension = a stretched Waja, hence longer & heavier
Finishing = leather here, wood there...
Seat & Trim = adjustable height etc, etc.
Convenient Function = same as Waja, same fauty power windows, faulty central lock...
In-car Entertainment = a DVD player, a CD player featuring a 'bee-sting' antenna!

Even the antenna is mentioned in the technical spec! Did they mentioned anything on SAFETY? Nope, none, nada...! How many airbags it has? Dual plus side airbags? In my dreams! Dual airbags? Nah.. One airbag? Not even one!!! ABS? Ask that to the proton engineers.. see if they could explain to you what it is.. let us not go to traction control and brake assist! They wouldn't have a clue!

Perodua Myvi (RM51,300) has dual airbags and ABS!!! So what to expect when buying a RM136,000 limited edition Proton Chancellor? You will get a super comfy (leather and wood trims), super roomy coffin of death!

When will Proton learn...? Sigh... never...

Work work work?

Well the first part of the BRCP completed so very late! We should have gone live with the DR site at the very latest 7am, instead we only manage to get all systems up at 2.30pm!!! I was in the office from 3.30am till 2.30pm!!! Some problems with the stupid IBM tape drives... Damn you IBM!!! Sigh... with all the cutting edge stuffs we use, IXA, SANS, Blades... the freaking tape drive suddenly dies!

Tonight will have go change back all the setting once more, so will have to be back in the office at around midnight and will stay there till 7am perhaps... Thank god we do this BRCP thingie only twice a year otherwise, I'd be having 'Panda-eyes' for good! Its 9pm now, I need to get at least 2 hours of sleep, else I'll be super cranky in the office! Sleep time... Zzzz...

Part I, Bathroom?

wall mounted WC and hidden flush tank good stuffs, these are from Grohe
the timber strip flooring is not practical in our weather
the B&O hifi looks gorgeous!

My super-duper obsessed shopping list Part I, the bathroom.

The apt will have 2 bathrooms, one in the master bedroom, quite small I guess not enough to fix in a bath tub. The shower area will be separated by a glass screen which is installed by default by the developer. I am gonna keep that. It also has one tiny window.

The second bathroom has a separate sink, shower and WC area. It is possible for the bathroom to be used by 3 person at the same time with complete privacy. This design is perfect for the second bathroom! I love that! The sink area has a windows and WC also has its own window. No window in the shower room though. The sink area has large enough space to fit in the washing machine and that is just what I am gonna do. Hence the washing machine/dryer will be in this list. Since the washing machine and dryer will be in the second bathroom, I am gonna use the dry-yard as my wet kitchen.

For the fittings and shower systems, I personally think that there is just nothing better than Grohe. For sinks and WC, Villeroy & Boch is da best! Both are pretty expensive but will last a lifetime.

The bathroom list :

Grohe Relaxa Plus Top 4 handshower & rail set

1. GROHE Handshower and rail set
- BOUGHT 2 sets of the Grohe RELAXA Plus TOP 4 handshower rail set
(was actually planning to buy the MOVARIO 5 set but just way too expensive!)
- can do 4 spray patterns, wide, champagne, pulsating and jet
(note : no rain shower! :-( sad.. )
- RM500 total, bought in Ebay Germany

Grohe Grohtherm1000 Thermostatic Mixer with Eco-button

2. GROHE Themostatic Shower mixer
- BOUGHT 2 sets of the GROHETERM 1000 thermostatic shower mixer with the optional ECO-button
- this baby can do wonders! and looks fabulous!
- RM1000 total, bought in Ebay Germany
(available here for RM1400 EACH! murderous!)

this is the Grohe Freehander, it won numerous awards for its design
it can be a rain shower and also a body shower and looks great!
the choice of tiles for the shower, i like!

3. GROHE Freehander Shower system
- PENDING, this would compliment the handshowers and it looks GREAT!
- this system can do rain showers and can a body shower too!
- RM2600 (around RM1300 each if bought here in Malaysia might compare prices in Singapore)

4. Grohe sink taps
- PENDING, short of funds.
- since the sink taps looks decent enough, I might just sitck to that.
- if I could find 2 Grohe Eurostyle bathroom sink taps at a resonable price (under RM300 each) I'd buy them. They are just too expensive in Malaysia!

5. Villeroy & Boch W/C and Sinks
- PENDING, I ran out of money and might just ditch the idea.
- these stuffs are just too heavy and fragile to be shipping to Malaysia so not gonna buy these...
- might just look for something else... JBH/TOTO/Johnson Suiss <-- cheaper! - I like to have a hidden flushing tank with a wall mounted WC. - I think the sink that they provide seems kinda small, a bigger sink would be better! 6. Hot water boiler cum tank - plenty of brands to choose from. - price kinda ok... around RM500 each, might need 2 units, 1 for each bathroom. - not picky all will be out of sight above the ceiling. - PENDING, cannot buy these now!
I like Samsung Silver-wash washing machine because they have 'em in silver!
white is way too boring!

7. Front Loading Washing Machine >6kg
- PENDING, might only buy alter moving in, I already have my old washing machine for now
- The Samsung Silver-wash front loading washing machines looks nice and not too expensive around RM1500-RM2000

8. Dryer
- already bought a hot-air/blower type dryer, its cheap and will do just fine.
- but will take some while to dry up a load, around 5 hours.
- brand Enviro (China-made) with a 6kg load
- BOUGHT RM266 super cheap!

9. Bathroom mirror cabinets
- look up so my previous IKEA entry, bought them during the sale.
- its a steel medicine cabinets with door made of 2 sided mirrors.
- it has 2 adjustable shelves inside, plenty of space!
- BOUGHT on offer for RM149 each again super cheap!

I like the bathrooms to have small tiles with a few shades of blue and white... not too sure how much will cost! But this will be quite difficult to clean, I think. I also like to install a small LCD TV in front of the WC but I guess that will just be a bit over the top! Hehehe....

I like to keep minimal stuffs in the bathroom, less stuffs, less mess, easier to clean!

BRCP tonight?

BRCP = Business Recovery and Continuity Procedure/Protocol.

Seems like yet another early morning work tomorrow! I have to be in the main office for this bi-annual activity required by BNM (Bank Negara) at 4am and do the network changes so everything will work smoothly from the DR (Disaster Recovery) site. This will only end at about 7am if everything goes smoothly... insyallah!

Then, tomorrow night will again have to swing everything from the DR site back to the Production site. Got to be in earlier this time... by 12.30am till 7am!!! Sigh.. what a life! Working in the wee hours of the morning while my friends are having fun on a Saturday night! I guess the guys in London are busy with snorting K up their noses, and the ones on KL could very well be in clubs here.

Some charge RM 20 for entry with a FOC glass of coke. There are even more expensive clubs... They all have one thing in common, all are filled with chocking, suffocating, death-inducing cigarette smoke. Since I don't drink and I no longer smoke, and also now passed the ripe-old-age of 30, I refuse to pay to gain entry to these accelerate-thy-death clubs! Nope.. been there, done that. No more thank you very much! I've moved on...

Have a great weekend guys! I got to work!

note to self : have to post the shopping list soon! will start with the bathroom shopping list next...

RED 104.9?

This morning I won myself a 3D/2N stay at any of the Suria Resorts in Malaysia. They have resorts in the Perhentian Island, Merang and Cherating. All are located on east coast of Malaysia. The food over there is just divine! Just what I need a vacation! How did I get it? I simply sang 2 lines of Jingle Bells on air this morning ('The RED morning affair' show with Sherina) and thats it! I won! If you had been tuned onto RED104.9 station around 9.30am you could have heard me singing Jingle Bells...

Thank you RED104.9 !!! You are simply the best radio station in Malaysia! 90% of the time I'd listen to you and the other 10% I'll have ERA turned on. ERA's non-stop ads is such a turn off! And they have the same songs in a played again and again! I hate that!

Thank you Suria Resorts too!

I love RED104.9 so very much....

Ikea Madness?

Yesterday morning, I got up early as if I'm going to work. Why? I just have to be in IKEA before 9.30am. They actually opens at 10am, but since I sort of knew that Ikea sale's can be a bit crazy at times, so I opt to go there early.

I wanted to buy the Recken Mirror Medicine Cabinet for the bathrooms, I need two of these. Normal price RM279, now RM149. Before going there I text my bro and sis, and both need 1 each, so a total of 4 are needed. I reached Ikea early 9.15am. Went in around 9.30am and there are already 4 or 5 aunties and uncles queuing. I was telling myself, are they so kiasu or what? Its like 30mins before opening and they have started the queue?! So I sat around the Ikea Cafe to wait... After 15mins more people came, hence, I jump in the queue.

One old auntie wanted to cut queue in front of me, I simply told her NO! So she just quietly stand beside me! So kiasu this auntie. In the queue I overheard them aunties and uncles talking about the PROMPT cake/baking pan that is also on offer that day. They are really looking forward for that, so a sigh of relieve because perhaps I can just get the mirror cabinets in peace.

At 10am, the open up the barrier into Ikea, everyone start RUNNING! yes, aunties, uncles, ladies and guys... running for the RM6 cake pan! They are pushing each other at the starting line, its like a race! This is a complete madness, as if some frugal Ikea monster possessed them to get as many of those pans as they could!!!

I overheard one auntie (in her 50s) told her friend afterwards with a bruised arm, saying, "Someone hit me and I manage to get one only!?" She was looking rather shocked, well, hell, I am shocked as well! I never thought it could be so crazy!!! Some took like 30 of those pans, only god knows what they are gonna do with them? As Christmas ornaments perhaps? I was told that the pans was soldout with in 15sec after opening!

I, on the other hand did ran to get my 4 cabinets, I was the second person to get there, another guy beat me to it! hehehe.. but there are plenty of the cabinets around though I think it still will not be enough for everyone. As the saying goes, "The early bird catches the worm."

After getting what I need, I went straight to A'Famosa Water World...

A'Famosa Water World?

Since I was in Ikea in the morning for the Shopping Spree event, I only managed to reach A'famosa just before 2pm. Traffic was quite bad all the way to the Alor Gajah exit. The thing I just fail to understand is that, why on earth does PLUS repair major sections of the highway on a Selangor public holiday (a long weekend) and in the middle of the day! Stupid, stupid, STUPID!!

Though my 'kampung' (parent's house) is only 20mins drive to A'famosa, I have never been into this resort. It is an absolutely huge place! Bunglow lots all over the place, a golf course, a condominium complex... its huge! After entering the main entrance, I had to continue on driving for another 10-15mins to get to the Water World. I had to pay RM3 for the parking fees and it was packed with cars, since its still the year end school holidays. Paid the entrance fee and went straight in.

The main 'WAVE' pool was filled with kids and their parents. Me sis told me that she peed in the pool! DAMN! If she even did it, I bet every other Tom, Dick, Harry, Mary, Siti, Halim, Chee Hong, Swe Lan, Maniam, Minachee, would do the same exact thing! The horror of it all...

Hence I banished the thought of splashing with the kids, instead I just sat on the bench to look after their stuffs. I am also gonna be too tired if I join in because I still have to drive back to KL that afternoon! I sat there while enjoying the view. Still nothing much to see, no eye candy anywhere! I get much better view in the gym than this place... So not worth it!

On holiday?

Yeah, I suppose Selangor people are having a blast Monday since its a public holiday! We in KL have to work.. since I have another 7 more days of annual leave left, I figured its better to utilise the unused leave this Monday.

I bet 80% of the people in the pool peed in it!
And I am definitly going to contribute! Just kidding... :-)

So I've applied for this Monday off. I have a family gathering in Afamosa Water World. My sister has made all the arrangements, bought the tickets and planned this way ahead of time. Hence, there is no way in hell I could excused myself out of this event!

Havanna, Cuba?

I wish! Nah, its an apartment building somewhere along Jalan Jelatek. The whole complex is called Seri Maya. Hence it becomes, Havanna, Seri Maya. I bought a unit here early 2004. This is the most that I can afford! Sigh.. I wish I have more money, but don't we all?!

this is the Jelatek Tower block (Phase I) and the Lanai Low-rise blocks (Phase II) of Seri Maya
the Havanna Tower (Phase III) is not pictured here

Plus points:
+ 1350 sq ft big enuf 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms
+ Freehold
+ next to Setiawangsa Putra LRT station
+ Tan&Tan's development
+ quite near to KLCC (5km, thats what they say..)
+ cool layout, lots of corridors and wall space, I like it this way
+ near Carrefour, Giant, Jusco
+ big living+dining+balcony space
+ Free 3 A/C unit for all 3 bedrooms
+ all units are 'Corner' units
+ 2 lap pools, 2 wading pools, plus jacuzzi
+ basement carpark
+ beautifully designed grounds
+ timber strips in all bedrooms
+ large 2nd bathroom with separate WC/shower area

Minus points:
- quite expensive
- no tennis/squash court, no sauna
- Jalan Jelatek (murderous traffic!)
- small bedrooms+kitchen
- quite high density
- small dry-yard/wet kitchen area (i've a dryer so no problem here)

the living room as seen in the Havanna showroom unit

I have now started to religiously spend every penny I earn to equip the apartment. I've also started to consider the theme, design, ID concept for the whole apt! I am very very crazy about this actually. Boderline psycho here.. hehehe.. I am totally obsessed on getting only the best for my apt.

I will have to post my OBSESSED Shopping List into a few entries divided into groups by location, list for bathroom, list for kitchen, list for living room, etc etc.

Aeonflux?

"gawd puhlees make sure the double-sided tape works.. so don't need another janet scandal!"
taking the term 'hanging by a thread' to new hights.. wonderful lumps!

The story is set sometime way in the future, after some uncured desease spread all over the world killing everyone. A colony of humans manage to stay alive in a sealed environment. Some scientific stuffs, genetics, clonning, DNA, implants (not those kinds that u are thinking of!), some new form of wireless communication etc etc thrown into the movie to make this action movie appear to have more substance. The truth to the matter is.. this is a cross between a gun-slinging, triple-loop-jumping, flying-cum-tumbling action flic and a haute couture fashion show!

"i am trying my best to blend in here.. were u distracted by my soft white supple thigh?
and yeah please make no notice of my Kendo suit looking outfit!"

The action girl is none other than the super sexy come-get-sum-lovin' Charlize Theron. She is simply WOW. I think she beats Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider anytime! The body, the walk, the talk, the face, have i said the body already? Yeah awesome... She really looks like a model turned action babe!

she's strutting her stuff here gloriously..
those 'next american top models' wannabees should pay attention!

The only motive of paying to watch this movie is Charilze Theron and oh boy.. she is so worth it! I got every penny of my investment returned double-fold! But if somehow I manage to actually use my grey-matter to ponder on this movie, I would say the plot is paper thin and very little logic applied here. Would anyone dress in a Kendo-suit-looking outfit if you wannabe able to walk by in public unnoticed? Sigh..

told u those are wonderful lumps, they could do more than the eye can see.. she is flying!

In the end, everything aside, would u pay to watch scorching hot Miss Theron show off her moves? I would!

Verdict = 8.5/10 (to my defence, i switched off my brains temporarily!)

Gentle Yoga?

check out his legs I don't think he did Lotus Pose (Padmasana) correctly!
am i supposed to be the expert now?! hum with me... hummmmmm....

As usual I kept to my weights and cardio plan eventhough I've moved into this new hip gym, I was still sticking to my old workout routines, very traditional, very Clark Hatch, I think. Had never join any of the classes in the gym, until last night. I decided after a few months, I at least need to try the classes they offer. I went straight to Yoga because somehow it seemed exotic. Of all the weird named Yoga classes, such as Astanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, a Gentle Yoga class is gonna start in like 15mins, right after I finished with my cardio jog+cycle. Perfect... my first taste of Yoga, eh?

Easy... low impact, soft gentle movements, no weights, no stress... So I thought Yoga is a breeze and this Gentle Yoga class will eventually make me sleep of that so called 'relaxed and calmed' after effects most people talked about. Went into the class right on time. Everyone is on their mat and the instructor begin the class.

At first inhale and exhale. Damn! This is child's play... very relaxing though. So perhaps this is what Yoga is all about. After about 2 or 3 basic easy poses, he starts with some hard core shit! Oh my gawd, I did not sign up for this!? Is he (the instructor) trying to tie my legs together into a knot?! I know he can definitely do it with ease! My whole body aches and struggle to even keep breathing! Damn this is so freaking difficult and they called this the Gentle Yoga?! Aiyoo...

I felt as if I wanted to storm out of the class, nah too much drama for my taste. This is just way too much for me, still I tried my best to keep my cool and try to imitate the instructor's pose the best I could. If the instructor asked to lift my legs at 30 degrees angle of the mat, I could only keep that post for like half a second. So I lift my legs like 80 degrees and hold them with my hand! Hehehe.. Told u that I'd tried my best!

The class was not only taxing to me, one caucasian lady in front of me accidently passed wind, while attempting one of the pose! Hehe.. again tried to keep my cool, though I wanted to roll all over the floor laughing. My first attempt doing this Yoga thingie... I did well I think, me still quite flexible, though my shoulder was pretty stiff in the beginning after 2 sets of pull downs. I know now that Yoga is no child's play, it is hard work man, damn tough! I slept like a baby last night and felt I might try to join in the class again this week but definitely not tonight.

True Fitness?

the purple banner, with pink coloured membership card...

I was with Clark Hatch for the last 2 years. At first was pretty happy with the place. I normally go to their Legend Hotel facility. They have a squash court there, good for a super duper quick cardo workout! Hehehe... Zaween (a Hero Remaja I think) is a trainer there, he is nice. But after a while, I felt the place lack of variety of the classes they offer. Weight and cardio everytime can be very very boring! Early 2005 I moved to a new apartment. And it seems the The Legend's Clark Hatch is way out of the way. Too far from my apartment and office.

After a few month of going back and forth to the Legend and going through murderous traffic conditions, I finally came to my senses and decided to move to a new gym closer to my home. Went around through the gyms nearby. 2 of the good ones are, Clack Hatch in Plaza Mont Kiara, and True Fitness in Sri Hartamas. The Clark Hatch is more or less the same as in Legend. Weight and cardio... hmm... boring.

True Fitness seems different, the place feel a little hip and err... colourful!? It is huge... 4 floors, plenty to equipment and loads of TV and loud dance music. The best thing is they offer hell of a lot of classes around the clock! Everything that I can think of plus some more! Yoga, Pilates, BodyBalance, BodyCombat, BodyJam, BodyStep, BodyPump, Latin Dance, Line Dance, Bollywood Dance and so many other classes. They open 6am - 12midnight daily, that is simply fabulous! After one step in the gym felt as if I am in some disco!

I'm hooked, done deal, signed the 2 years membership plan in the middle of this year. Received a PINK coloured membership card, and I told myself... do they know me that well?! Scary! Hehehe... the pink coloured cards are for 2 years memberships actually. Nevertheless very appropriate, I think. Hehehe...

Proton should perish?

There i was doing my weekly grocery shopping at my favourite store, TESCO, picking up the kitchen towels, facial tissues, canned sardines, eggs, bread, urgh... yawn... all the boring stuffs... then while queuing up to pay, an old college-mate of mine suddently appears.
I always avoid encounters from the past but he had the first move, I didn't get the chance to slip away. I hardly know him in the first place!

After the uncomfortable 'How do you do' session...
Then he said, "Where do u work now?"
I replied, "In Bank XXXXX HQ in KL"
With a surprised face he said, "Hah? Oh, I see... the Malaysia's Favourite bank...."
he goes into a long pause before continuing to say, "... NOT!!"

Does he really need to insult the company I work with? Is that necessary? I do wonder why, maybe he gets a kick when doing that. Now my turn, he apparently still works with Proton since he graduate like 5 years ago!

I said, "Proton made the headline making quite a loss and only just the first quarter!? Whats up?"
He defensively said, "Well honestly I think its PR move, delcaring a loss in Q1 for only to surprise everyone of the huge profit in Q2!"

My, my... some people are so delusional, they even lie to themselves for comfort! Proton is nose deep in shit and its all of their own making. The parties that had made gazillion bucks for the past two decades have already cash-in their chips! Whats left now are just pile of junk left unsold in their stockyard.

Proton has been lying through their teeth, cheating in every possible way to get hold of low to middle level income citizens of their hard hard earned salary! Their QA & QC standards are the joke of the industry. The ISWARA, sold as one of their first model is still available in the market after 20 plus years!? Satria, Wira, Waja, Perdana, Putra are all sold with useless/unwanted engine parts and technology of yesteryears from Mitsubishi. Even Mitsubishi has stopped selling the old rotten engines to Proton now!

I always tell my friends, if Ksatria Badja Hitam (a translated japanese series, the guy has a grasshopper-looking bike!) had a car, this just might be it, its the err... I cannot seemed to recall the name of this gosh ugly van. Proton... oh yes.. Juara! Definitely not a winner there! You just have to be blind to actually buy this grasshopper-looking box!

Please don't let me start to talk about Gen2!!! Jammed doors and windows, boot fail to open and connot close, alarm gone crazy... if u think that u life is just too problem-free, this is just the car for u. PERFECT!

The indistructable, dinasour-proof Savvy is not even worth writing about.

Please do not say I am not patriotic. I absolutely respect Perodua, they made the right move with Daihatsu and produce good quality cars. My first car was a Kelisa and had it for 4 years. I never had any problems with that baby of mine. I really love the Kelisa, a perfect small zippy car, fuel efficient, perfect for city use. The MYVI is something to be proud of. LED break lights, ABS + dual airbags, optitron speedometer, signal lights on side mirror, foldable rear seats, DVVT engine, all of the very latest in technology.

I just think its time for Proton to call it a day. And please stop buying protons, they are just some cheap junk with wheels. When you dash board squeaks and rattle u will curse often and spent some much time at their service centre while waiting for their incompetent service personnels to tell u that there is NOTHING wrong with the dashboard of your car! Next time if u own a proton and the dashboard squeaks/rattles just count your lucky stars that at least u can still open the door! Come to think of it u might be better of buying a wheelbarrow, at least there are no doors to open!

Ops... back to guy I met in Tesco. He is just a loser for defending Proton, but he is an even big loser by staying in Proton!

I've decided its not productive to fret over the pest. I should have sprayed him all over with Shieldtox the second i saw him! Hehehe..

In the end, as I was leaving, he asked for my business card, I had none left in my wallet, so he handed over his to me. He insists that I emailed him with my email address. So I politely took it and on my way to my car, his card totally slipped off my fingers and went straight into the trash bin where it belongs.

All hung up on Hung UP?

is this the new 'talk to the hand' pose? i am so lost!

yeah yeah... guilty as charged! it has been blaring on my car's stereo on a perpetual repeat. i do personally think that her cover album is kinda wierd hehe... whassup with the retarded pose? or she is so high on K or something? albeit very appropriate to the album's genre and unique too! good stuff...

btw i know i am not the only one guilty of having this song on repeat endlessly... hehehe...
